A charge cycle means that the battery is charged from full to empty, and then from empty to full, which is not the same as a charge.A lithium battery, for example, USES half its charge on the first day and then charges it again.If that's the case the next day, charge it in half and come down twice in total. The so-called 500 times, refers to the manufacturer at a constant discharge depth (such as 80%) to achieve about 625 times of charging times, up to 500 charging cycles.

However, due to various influences in real life, especially the discharge depth during charging is not constant, so "500 charging cycles "can only be used as a reference for battery life.

In fact, shallow charging is more beneficial for lithium battery. Deep charging is necessary only when the power module of the product is calibrated for lithium battery.Therefore, the use of lithium electric power products do not have to stick to the process, everything for convenience, charging at any time, do not have to worry about the impact of life.

If a lithium battery is used at an operating temperature above the required operating temperature of 35°C, the battery will continue to decline in power, meaning that the battery will not last as long as usual.If you have to charge the device at these temperatures, the damage to the battery will be even greater.Even if the battery is stored in a hot environment, it will inevitably cause corresponding damage to the battery quality.Therefore, it is a good way to prolong the life of lithium battery to keep the operating temperature at suitable.


If you use a lithium battery in a low temperature environment, i.e. under 4°C, you will also find that the battery life is reduced, and the original lithium battery of some mobile phones cannot even be charged in a low temperature environment.But don't worry too much, this is just a temporary situation, unlike in a hot environment, where once the temperature rises and the molecules in the battery heat up, they immediately return to their previous charge.

To get the most out of a lithium-ion battery, you need to use it often enough to keep the electrons flowing.If you do not often use lithium battery, please remember to complete a charging cycle for lithium battery every month, do a battery calibration, that is, deep charging.

The normal name is "charge and discharge cycle", not equal to "charge times", cycle refers to, the battery from full to use up, this is a cycle, if your battery from full state, used a tenth of the charge, and then full again, this is a tenth of the cycle, such charge 10 times, is basically a cycle.Again, from full charge, half used and then full, and half used and then full again, this is also a cycle, where you're charged twice.So, the cycle is just a matter of "how much power is released from the battery", not "how many charges"


And the nominal number of charge and discharge cycles doesn't mean that you can't use it after using it, but that after doing so many cycles, the battery's capacity to store power drops to a point where,

For example, for a lithium battery, the nominal charge-discharge cycle is "no less than 60% of the nominal capacity after 500 times".

So after 500 cycles, this battery can only store at most 60% of the power of the new battery

Lithium battery does not have fixed charge times limit, the battery that normal manufacturer comes out can charge and discharge 500 times commonly at least, and capacity maintains in initial capacity 80% above, a day can use 2 years.Cell phone batteries are usually charged for 1,000 times, resulting in a serious lack of durability.
